Well, I got bored of doing lineart for the next comic, and felt like painting something instead... and I had this convenient sketch I'd scanned a few days ago... And felt like doing another speedpaint...so...
Heeere's Kairi! Seriously, this poor girl does not get enough love from the fandom. Most people seem to hate her for the sole reason that she is Sora's love interest instead of Riku. ...I'm not going to get started on this topic as it drives me up a wall. Let's just say that Kairi is cool. Cool. And I felt bad for her while she was on the island; it wasn't her fault she forgot about Sora at all, and if I were in her place I'd feel wretched...
Hence this picture! Quick-n-dirty speedpaint from yours truly. I forgot how long it took to sketch; it took a little over two hours to paint. I'm getting the hang of this speedpainting thing, methinks.
Bonus points to whoever figures out the other character in this picture. It isn't that hard.

Anywho, lovely picture! i love the touch you added with Namine! The whole thing is very pretty
Anyway, this art is beautiful. I love the tears that's rolling down Kairi's face. It's like she's trying so hard to remember the boy that she cared for, other than Riku, but just couldn't. That is what is tearing her up inside for not remembering his voice or his name.
And I love the Namine reflection too. A very nice touch!

She's really badly written and comes off as selfish and uncaring. "Let's take the raft and go, just the two of us"? I'm sorry, even if it was really a joke, I wasn't laughing.
