So little-known fact: "Four calling birds" is an Americanization of "Four colly birds", which is old English cant for blackbirds. Unlike crows, blackbirds are actually really cute. At least, I think so.

And I decided to go with a lame pun for this one... well, because I could. If you don't get why Vexen is complaining about his refrigerator, it's a reference to the old prank call of yore, that goes a little like this:

Prankster: "Is your refrigerator running?"
Prankee: "...Yes?"
Prankster: "Then you'd better go catch it!" *click*

...Did I just make abundantly clear how ancient/dorky I am with that one?
