Wahey! New cintiq means I finally get to shade the few pages I scanned before I lost my lab access. Boy, I really need to update my journal about this, huh. xD SOON, SOON.
Anyway! This was supposed to go on while Miss SDL was going, but I ended up not getting to work on it until after the final round. There's a couple other comics scripted as well, which will to some degree explain how/why Ani finds herself in the situations we saw in the Miss SDL entries.
For anyone who's confused about what Annie and the Professor are doing in feudal Japan in the first place, the Samurai Dueler's League is an alternate universe where people have adapted their characters to fit in that particular time period and locale. Participants are free to duel one another, similar to tournament-type fighting, but without the multiple-round commitment. Ginger made it into SDL a long time before Ani did; he's also a member of the Gokiburi-gumi, a yakuza family led by `Endling's Ree.
SO NOW THAT WE'RE ALL ON THE SAME PAGE.
A teeeny bit more of the back story begins to raise its malformed head! Yes, folks, it's true: in this universe, Ani and Ginger have yet to actually. Y'know. Hook up. Hence this little side-series! Also, that man at the end has nooo idea what's coming. Pro tip: run fast, little man, and run far.
I'm very excited to see Ani and the Professor get together. I predict sexual tension! I think Rex got a lot more sassy in this page. Before, he was a bit more... coherent xD And Lilith makes a return? Don't we all know by now that she only spells trouble?
I totally agree with the person above, you've got me to follow any and every 'rofessor and Annie' things you've done which is pretty uncommon for someone else's OCs.
(Though Endling's characters are a close second, so I of course love this you're doing, keep it up!)
I can't wait for the other comics!

I really like the new entry. I love it when you get to see a large range of the Professors' emotions, all in one strip.
Also: Yay! An idiot at a bar provides amusement for us!
